The fifth event is upon us, and it's a nice change of pace from all the drama and chaos and unfortunate revisits to the past. Clearly nothing bad will happen here, and there are definitely not shady things around the corner...

It's a nice little vacation for the wizzies, complete with a welcoming part, Western-style. Plus a chance to learn and engage more with the local wizard-y culture!

Plus jobs and tasks given out by the locals and your lovely isekai'd NPCs, with a mission for the sluttiest wizards just around the corner...

- Given we're in the final stretch... I want Ithaqua to vent a little bit about his complicated feelings over the coming end, and what he thinks that will mean for him. It's a bit heavy but...! He needs to get it out there, you know? This is preferably for close CR. (But probably not Urianger yet since he doesn't want to burden him with this yet...)

- Learning about wizard culture: I want Itha to learn about the meaning of giving gemstones to people :pensive: He has a chest of gems he hasn't done much with yet, and a boyfriend and I really, REALLY want it to happen. Someone please accompany him so they can see his real-time rambles and loud thoughts about how to pull this off for his elf-- warning: He's going to be a gross romantic.

- Because it's the beach, Ithaqua will not say no to running back to the North for making the barrier and skip out on hot summer stuff, even for a little bit.

- Ngl I think Ithaqua is dramatic enough to actually audition for a role-- and possibly get it. I know he didn't do the skit but like. Lol lmao Itha wants to try this instead-- and he's honestly likely to be cast as a really campy villain with what he's like... Please watch him or cheer him on during the rehearsals. Bonus points to this venture since he gets to stay out of the sun.

- Tatara's activities: Let's write stuff for the sage tome together uwu. Also maybe cook together... Unlike a certain other North wizard, Itha knows how to cook and is capable of helping someone out if they need a hand in the kitchen.

Plotting:

- Weird, Bruno will be vanishing for a few days to do... something? But he'll join the rest on the island afterward! It's fine.

- Theater! Auditions!! Making... props??? Bruno will want to do something with the theater (he wants to be in the play but can he find the courage to audition, who even knows) but whaaat, only time (and threads) will tell. He is actually quite good at building stage props, though.

- Checking the wizard-run market stalls! Learning about wizard culture! N... not going to the Nectar District... walking away from it... only that seems to be the best place to talk to native wizards weeps.

- Going to help set up stuff for the City of Clouds is a must. Bruno loves the Southern Country a lot and checking out the city down that way in case he... ends up... staying? Look, it isn't off the table. He's very conflicted.

- Also adding this re: the meteor shower, do we want a meteor shower viewing party top-level? Jing Yuan and Bruno discussed doing something like that briefly. They can take over the beach and just chill n stuff.

Plotting:

1) Party got out of control so I am still working on this but if your character would be willing to hear what Solomon was up to last event and possibly help him on some very blatantly human-centric followup (backdated to last week and possibly early this week) then I will be getting a quick headcount. Please see below this post for that so I can get you the appropriate details and make sure I prioritize your threads for that info! This will not be mod-run or anything, I'll just have some deets to pass along.

2) Solomon is being encouraged to cook. Thanks Tatara! RIP everyone at the potluck. Come find him and try to stop him. Your efforts might be in vain.

3) RIP Solomon having to once again be trapped on all sides by the ocean... Solomon has a significant struggle with his magic around the water so he's gonna be grumpy, but he still knows his way around water-breathing magic, for anyone that might need help getting those sorts of spells going. He will be willing to go out and about with closer CR into the waves.

4) Let's go to the pleasure district! It'll be very safe and fine and safely fine! Be amazed at Solomon keeping a straight face and let's go gossip and learn about Wizards Together.

5) Meteor shower. :') Let's make wishes together, everyone. Solomon will even make a little trinket for anyone that shares their heart.

6) He will be going to both the North and South missions by the end of the week. No he won't need distraction from the looming West mission dwbi.

Rekindling - Ahito will be helping with barriers again! This time he's taking it quite seriously, he would prefer all their hard work getting back the northern wizards didn't go to waste, thanks.

The advent of summer - Ahito will also be helping out over here - at this point he's had, uh, a lot of (monster) mana stones so it's time to start doing stupid powerful magicks. Please be wowed and tell him how cool he is ty.

Spell-speed dating - Ahito's a northie but he's been branching into various other types of magic, let's have fun making dual-techs \o/

Potluck - Jing Yuan's going to scruff him and force him to attend, please help him make baby castellas so he'll actually have something to look forward to, thank you. He also won't be filling out any papers for Tatara's tome because he doesn't want to be remembered by the wizards in this world so feel free to bully him on that as desired.

Hanging out - he's also going to be spending time in mana areas (for him, high up places watching the sunset) if people want to catch him continuing to recharge his amulet after the northie mission now that he's feeling rested and well enough to run around again.

playing things by ear since i have to catch up with my inbox HOWEVER

so, ons world building is ( radio static ) But one thing we do know is that vampires wear UV-blocking tech on their person so they can walk in the sun and stay awake during the day (otherwise they? apparently just get sleepy/fall asleep? it's vague). mika's looks like a single earring with an (allegedly) ruby gemstone in it! people have probably seen it on him by now. however, it was damaged during east mission (from the impact he mentioned that did massive damage he needed blood to recover from).

it's probably been fritzing since then, leading mika to get kind of tired during the day - which he hasn't totally noticed, since his sleep schedule has been slowly orienting toward being awake toward the day and resting at night, for various reasons. however, this IC week it will be super broken! like when you put off repairing your laptop and then it starts randomly shutting down :)-- mika will be very sleepy during the day whether inside or outside, dozing off, and probably just straight up curl up and go zzz where he is sometimes. it will be hard to wake him up, and he will barely be awake even if you succeed. you can probably find him sleeping on couches or just... on the ground sometimes... he's probably in your way sorry not sorry if u trip over him (he probably still won't wake up)

he'll be super embarrassed when he rouses normally come daytime. also he doesn't breathe or anything so he probably seems dead just lying around like that (tehe pero)

anyway, mika will be recruiting people to help him figure out how to replicate the effects uv-blocking tech, but magically! and then help him enchant a replacement earring with this uv-blocking enchantment + help reinforce it so the earring itself doesn't break (kindly donated by ginger).

i will prrrooobably not be topleveling since mika will just be zzz, but pls comment if this is something your character would be interested in helping out with! (ICly the enchantment will be assumed to have been completed by the end of the next IC week, so around west mission time.) mika will work on it during the night, but the more heads the better. safe to say he'll owe you one and your character can drag him into whatever should they ever need an extra set of helping hands, even if it's just someone to hold your bags while you shop or something lmao

🪓 Shinji will be missing for a day or two in the beginning, since he's handling something per a certain Northern wizard's request, but he'll be back

🪓 Emotionally, people close to him will notice he's been a bit...off lately. Not quite in the 'something is very wrong' sense, more the contemplative sense. He's doing a Lot of Thinking. Maybe he's even a bit more around, in comparison to before.

🪓 The beach! He will be there, to most people's surprise. Not quite in the water, but he's milling about. Staring into the distance with his sandals on.

🪓 The markets! He'll be peeking around, looking at all the food and maybe the trinkets. He doesn't tend to buy stuff like that, but maybe he'll make an exception. Will not catch him dead at the Nectar District, though, unless you drag him bodily. He's depressed and underage.

🪓 For jobs, Shinjiro will either head to the North, to help with the barrier, or to the South. He'll mostly be doing clearing the land and maybe helping build some things here and there, but he hasn't actually gone to the South before. First time for everything.

🪓 He will be participating in the potluck...he's already done a lot of the cooking, anyway, might as well. If you so desire some help with your own choices, he'll be in and out of the kitchen and available. Grumpy as per usual, but available. He might need some nudging for participation in the sage's journal, however.
